Introduction of PAAR Facility in AIIMS MBBS 2019

AIIMS has brought PAAR (Prospective Applicants Advanced Registrations) facility for candidates from AIIMS MBBS 2019. The initiative aims at dividing the registration process in two parts: Basic registration and Final registration in AIIMS MBBS 2019. Let us now understand both methods of registration process one by one:-

Basic Registration:

Candidates who are aspiring for MD/MD or MDS or MBBS in future will be able to register through basic registration almost an year ago from the exam dates. Basic registration asks for the personal details and uploading of scanned images (photograph, signature and left hand thumb impression) of the candidate.

The details and uploaded images of the candidates would be saved and they would be provided with sufficient time to edit the particulars if needed.Unique identification number would be given to each candidate’s details. The status of the application (i.e. whether accepted or not) would also be notified to the students earlier.

Thus this new step will bring peace of mind to the students and will save them from the hassle of last minute and fear of getting the application rejected due to errors in the form or improper formats of images.

At a particular time before the commencement of the entrance exam, basic registration will not remain functional anymore. Hence the students must try to meet the deadlines.

Prospectus and list of tentative seats would be updated only after the session has started and seat allocation process is closed. Those who have completed their basic registration have choice of appearing in the exam of this session or if they are not appearing in the exam, they can take in any other subsequent session without doing basic registration all over again.

The students who want to appear in the exam of the coming session will have to proceed to the next stage i.e. Final registration. Those with rejected basic registration will not be able to go through the final registration procedure.

Final registration:

It constitutes of filling remaining fields such as qualification details, exam city preference and fee payment (using credit card/debit card/ net banking).

Those done with final registration and whose application has been accepted will turn out to be eligible for the issuing of admit cards of their respective examination.

The registration process for the subsequent session will then resume i.e. after the entrance exams for Jan 2019 session, basic registration would resume for MD/MS/MDS for July 2019 or MBBS for Jan 2020.

Thus, it ensures the benefit of complete and correct registration details to the students much before the examination. And it would be checked that only those candidates whose basic registration was done completely and correctly get the opportunity to reach the next stage of final registration (payment included). No need of filling basic registration details and uploading images repeatedly.

The Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration (PAAR) is a step taken for Postgraduate Medical and Dental Examinations for Jan 2019 sessions onwards and will get extended shortly to the MBBS and other entrance examinations too. The initiative is taken to reduce the number of rejected applications in AIIMS MBBS 2019 more due to improper filling of details rather than educational qualifications.
